The Christmas Season is winding down and we are catching our breaths here at The GPS Store, we still have time to get last minute gifts to you but please don’t wait past today.  I hope all is taken care of for presents for the ones you are gifting this year and your family and friends that are traveling arrive safely, and your Christmas is a happy one this year.  Until next week have a great Holiday however you celebrate it, and thanks for reading me in 2017.

It is hard for fathom that the Christmas Season for 2017 is almost behind us.  It seems like Thanksgiving was just yesterday but we know it wasn’t.  I hope no one gets caught because Christmas is on Monday this year.  That takes away three days for delivery of your presents so the last day for delivery would be 12/22. Orders placed on 12/20 for two day delivery is no guaranteed any longer but will in most cases get to you on time.  I hope you understand that, with the volume of packages being sent over the holidays, all of the carriers have trouble keeping up no matter how much extra help they add.  That being said we still put our trust in them to deliver on time, and they make it happen.  Just a reminder that orders placed over this weekend will get to you before Christmas but each day you wait it could get more expensive for delivery charges. One last thing, when calculating 2 day shipping, an order placed on Thursday for two day delivery, would get there on Monday normally but this year make it Tuesday.  I hope you have a great weekend and most will be shopping, like me, for stocking stuffers.  I will be back to you next week one more time so stay safe.

Unfortunately this year there is an incident and disaster going on at the same time.  Around the Memphis hub for Fedex there have been Lightning storms that have caused flight delays and in California the wild fires are causing delays in both pick up and deliveries as well.  We here at The GPS Store want every one of our customers to receive what they purchase from our store on time, whether it is for no occasion or for a birthday, Christmas or whatever the event may be.  If you can order early please do, it gives you the best chance of receiving your order in time even if it experiences a delay because of natural disaster or human error.  Please take the time to look at our specials today and remember we are adding to the list periodically. We have 19 days until Christmas today and not all of them are shopping days so don’t delay.  I will be back to you later to keep you up to date as to what is happening and what we are offering.

Good Morning Everyone, I hope you are all in the holiday spirit, I know i am.  We have now slid into December and counting the days until Christmas is really easy today.  I see that a lot of people took advantage of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals not only from our store but shopping online in general, according to the statistics I saw.  We will be having specials now and throughout the holiday shopping season, so if you didn’t get what you were thinking about buying on Black Friday it may be coming back, but I cannot guarantee that it will. I hope you keep an eye on our website for what we are offering and please take the time to open our emails for special offers.  I can tell you that we will be offering the Virb XE Refurbished at a special price so if you are thinking about an action camera take a look at it, it might be just what you are looking for.  Well off for the weekend and shopping myself but I will be back with you next week.

It is true now, that we are into our holiday season.  We have plenty of specials that our customers are looking for, either as a gift for themselves, or someone else.  We are very busy online and our phones have been ringing.  Please try again if you are unable to get through and if for some reason you are having troubles online placing an order, give us a call we can take your order over the phone, or help you through it online.  It is great to see smiling faces in the showroom and saying Merry Christmas to one another.  I always feel better for the first three or four weeks of the season and then start to worry about whether I have not forgotten someone, which thankfully hasn’t happened yet.  Today, and this week, there is plenty of time to get your orders delivered from The GPS Store in time for Christmas but please, if you can, order early, and I know that sometimes it isn’t possible.  I will try to get back to you next week to keep you up on what we have special prices on.

Yes indeed we are in full “Holiday” mode here at The GPS Store.  We have huge amounts of inventory coming in to cover sales for our specials this season, and we have great specials.  Don’t hesitate to contact our store for ideas for that difficult person on your list, we can help.  I hope everyone is ready for Thanksgiving, and you have your turkey and trimmings already, there is nothing I hate more than having to run out on Wednesday afternoon looking for heavy cream or something else we need.  One last reminder, if you are travelling make sure your GPS is up to date, and if it isn’t, we can still help, or if it isn’t working at all, we can get you one overnight or if you aren’t travelling early on Wednesday two day delivery gets your order to you on Wednesday.  If you are heading out on Black Friday shopping remember we are here and only a click away on your computer and we will also be here answering the phones, except me but I will be back on Monday.  Lastly I want to wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. 

Yes it is cold this morning, well cold for us 51′ but supposed to climb to 55′ today.  I can remember when that was short sleeve weather for me but now my old bones say it is cold.  Just another 2 weeks and the rush of holiday shopping happens.  We are looking for a monster holiday season and have planned, and made ready with all the elements that go into a successful season for us, are in place.  That is what is going here at The GPS Store right now and will continue until we are ready.  I want to take just a minute and thank all my Brothers and Sisters who are veterans for their service.  I hope you can take the time to attend a service on Saturday.

True it is we have some cooler weather passing through 40’s in the AM and 70’s in the PM, just great weather to be in for everything.  We received our first Pan Optix Ice Fishing Bundle this week so that is a sure sign of what will be happening to the north in the near future.  This is a really remarkable product and we hope fishermen will be able to use and adapt to an entirely new way of ice fishing.  No longer do you drill one hole and wait you can now see what is actually under the ice and where you should be fishing, to be more productive and not simply freeze your buns.  Well hope you all have a great weekend and the weather holds for you but above all else stay safe.

Indeed we are experiencing great weather with cooler mornings in the 50’s and upper 70’s for the high, and of course our Carolina Blue Sky.  That being said we are busy with the last time off for our guys and gals before the holiday season starts when we have all hands on deck.  I am off to Ohio tomorrow to pick up my new Mustang customized to my specs and really excited about it.  I hate to leave the store hanging on Friday but they are all on board with me going.  Well with me out and a couple of others trying to leave early it is going to be hectic tomorrow so try to order early.  I am taking one of Garmin’s DriveLuxe 51’s for my GPS and will let you know how it performs for me when I get back.  These are great units and at a great price for the features they have.  I wish everyone a great weekend and I will be back to you next week.

Yes the weather this time of year is spectacular here in southern North Carolina 80’s here in the day and down to the low 70’s overnight.  Golf, boating, fishing and every other outdoor activity, so if you want to enjoy a great time outdoors now is it.  We are just back from the final boat show for 2017 which was another successful one at Annapolis.  Scott and Brian really do a great job with our boat show program which makes us the best at what we do, which is: offer the best electronics for the customer needs, at the best prices and with the best service anyone can offer.  I am the old guy here and have watched and participated in growing the GPS Store customer base and I am proud to have worked so closely with these people.  Now on the the holiday season for 2017.  Thanks for reading and I will be back later.
